Sustainable collaboration under pressure: Teams with horsepower

Effective collaboration is not only about clear task division or specific expertise. Strong teamwork requires the right balance of flexibility, assertiveness, and the ability to temporarily set aside personal interests for the sake of the shared goal.

Both clear structure and flexible alignment are needed to keep the team on course — especially when situations become more complex or demanding.

Pressure is part of professional environments. Suppressing stress or simply working harder is rarely a sustainable solution.

Stress factors provide important information for teams. They reveal where attention narrows and 'automatic pilot' takes over, at the expense of connected collaboration and communication.

The sessions answer questions such as:

  • What is the main strength of this team?
  • What is the main challenge?
  • How does the mutual communication work?
  • What does the team need to get into its strength?

This is custom team development. Our approach is tailored to the specific context, challenges, and collaboration dynamics of the team.

Through experiential learning with horses, patterns in collaboration become immediately visible. Horses respond instantly to tension, clarity, alignment, and leadership within the group. This creates a powerful mirror for how teams function and collaborate under pressure.

The result is stronger collaboration, clearer communication, and teams that can lead themselves beyond stress, reduce burnout risk, and sustain performance under pressure.

Team training with horsepower

Every team has its strength and its weak spot. There are countless reasons why teams sometimes do not function optimally.

The key to better functioning of any group always lies in decisions made by individuals.

We strengthen the ability of your team members to deploy five roles of natural leadership.

These roles are universal, we see them in both humans and animals. We already have them in us. That is why they are recognizable to everyone.

The circus acrobatics shown on this Hungarian stamp are metaphorically intended! They represent the balance and coordination necessary for good team collaboration. Our team trainings include safe ground exercises with horses. There is no riding and previous horse experience is not required.

The Master Herder Leadership Model

We are certified in working with Linda Kohanov's "The Five Roles of a Master Herder": an innovative model for gaining insight into leadership and team dynamics. This approach includes an online self-test that provides individuals and teams with insight into their strengths and challenges according to these roles, which provides important guidance for the focus of our interventions..

Testimonials

Josselien, you're too modest... So I hereby tell everyone what you mean and what you do and contribute to your coachees, how professional you are. The horses you use are the mirrors, but, Josselien, you are the horsepower that ultimately leads to the transformation.

I can heartily recommend Josselien's "power".

It is impossible to imagine what happens when you are put in the ring with a horse and something is expected of you. Suddenly some things don't seem to go as smoothly as you thought and you start thinking about actions that you normally do on autopilot.

I have followed a similar training and therefore know somewhat what is happening. Horses mirror us flawlessly and Josselien's guidance is really fantastic.
